Next Jan Semester I want to take some research credits at UAF Alaska since it is paid for with my voc rehab program.
complete 15 semester hours in the Social Sciences at the upper level (300/400)
Can I transfer in Northern Studies Research Credits to fulfill this requirement?

The research credits are 600 level graduate credits.

I don't see why not, but some schools won't let you use them towards a graduate degree if it was part of your undergraduate degree... Some. But then again many schools wont allow you to transfer in courses on the graduate level very often and if they do they are very particular to the content.

Yes I am aware that is why I was wondering about TESU. I have an appointment with TESU in November but wanted to find out earlier.

My idea was that I need research time so I can work on my Masters project, and then transfer the credits into TESU to cove UL requirements. Even though I would have to take some of the research classes over that is ok since I would have a head start with my project. Once I have completed my TESU degree I am applying to UAF masters program, and I would have made very good connections by the time spring semester is over. Also I have been authorized by my VA Voc rehab to pay for these classes, and I can use up to 6 credits for my grad program. If anyone here has any experience in this please let me know.

TESU will allow you to transfer your graduate credit in as upper level. If you do a search of our archives you'll find the exact number they cap you at - I looked it up once, but it must have been pushed out of my brain to make room for something new.

tada - that was quick. 30 credit cap. So, yes. Should I ever finish my Natural Science degree @ TESU, that's how I will collect my UL credit.

You're basically doing a reverse transfer. Brilliant move.

Yeah, in order to do it, you have to find a way to get grad credit without already having a bachelors (unless you're doing a second bachelor's - then it's fine). I took mine at Harvard University (Continuing Ed online) but I know that Annenberg has some with EDU and or SCI prefix that are open enrollment too.
