Can I go "backwards" in math?
#1
I am trying to get some easy general elective math classes on my way to a BSBA.

I have already taken Pre- Cal when I received by AA from a local CC.

Can I take lower level math classes even though I already have a higher level course?

For instance I am interested in taking ALEKS College Alegbra and Intermediate College Algebra.

99% sure that you still can with TESC. Son #2 did it less than 6 months ago and graduated recently using the same reasoning as you. Others will comment I'm sure.

Yes.
intermediate college algebra, college algebra, and even college math CLEP would be 12 new credits. Additionally, you'll get to use (have to have) a 3 cr stats in there, which is math. I think you can use ALEKS to rock out all of the above, and then sit the CLEP.

I had taken College Algebra and Trig. more then 20 years ago TESC had no problem with me going backwards with Algebra using ALEKS. I just warn if you are going to take Stats with Aleks be ready to put in a lot of hours. I am stalled at 120 hrs and 65%. It is a very difficult class. My friends son just completed Stats at county college and he said ALEKS stats was much harder.
