Can I get some help with a DSST issue?
#1
Hello! I need some help!

Last year at this time I joined this board and did some research on CLEP and DSST testing. I could have sworn my 3 local colleges/university administered both tests. I called yesterday to schedule my first CLEP and asked about the DSST, they said no. I did a search online and no one in my area administers the DSST test.

SO...I need alternatives for Money & Banking, Principles of Finance, and Business in Society (in blue). I am open to suggestions for other sources for these OR for alternate courses to fit the slots for my BSBA in General Management.

Thank you bricabrac!

So, I've already got Acct 1 and 2 and they will take a 3rd Acct course.

Also, are those the ONLY alternatives for the Finance and the Business in Society?

Accounting 1/2 are lower level; courses in the area of study are advanced.
I'm sure you could search other alternatives for finance and bus society. Other forum members will hopefully have better suggestions.

Someone else here didn't have a testing center in his local area, so he flew from South Korea to Japan to take tests. He studied for a bunch of them and took them all together.

Point being, what about a nearby city/town? Nothing within 2-3 hours?

Yes, thank you. I had put in my zip code for a search and it brought up nothing. I did confirm with my local university and college and they don't administer them.

Anyway, I did a State wide search and bought up some within 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Although more inconvenient, it's still doable.

I am still interested in any alternatives for Finance, Business in Society, and fulfillment for GMS Requirements.

Yeah, the dsst search engine is not the best out there. It will look for a match with whatever you type in the search box. So entering a zipcode will not produce a list of test centers close to that zipcode. It pretty much forces you to look at the entire state. If your testing area isn't too far from your state border, don't forget to check out the bordering state(s).
