This is a good choice for you. Your biggest asset is the fact that you have already studied for the Biology CLEP. Continue to review that information, add the REA for all the natural science topics, and some websites as needed. Also check your progress with the practice test in the Official CLEP Study Guide.

I agree with NAP - having passed the Biology CLEP means you already know half the material on the CLEP. The chemistry and physics were pretty basic on the test, too; if you've taken high school science, the REA guide will probably be sufficient. Take some practice tests to judge your readiness - if you get a good score, you may not even need to study any more. I posted some resources near the bottom of this post: http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...post136709

Do you suggest taking one of the science straighterline courses as an option-if so which one?

That's up to you. Do you want to take your previous studies for the Biology CLEP and use it toward the Natural Science CLEP or the SL Biology course? Either way is a good use of what you already learned.
If you are looking for something completely different, does your school accept the Environment DSST? That has been suggested several times on this forum as a good choice for science credit.

Nat Sci is a great value at $80 for 6CR. Bio is half like they said. Go pick up the REA Nat Sci book and supplement with Kahn Academy videos.
