Greetings Gurus-
So yes this is my first post here, although I have been lurking and sucking up as much knowledge as possible. The forum has already helped me a lot and I am kinda surprised that people are so willing to help.
Tesc sure does love to change things a lot and I am not as of yet enrolled there so not even the janitor there will talk to me about my plan. I think it is pretty solid but wanted to run it by the GURUS first.
Without further drama, here goes my plan.....Psych! I mean here goes my psych plan!

I'm not a guru by any means but I just saw something I wanted to comment onâshouldn't TESC still accept the 6 credit College Composition CLEP for the Comp reqs (which you'd use instead of the TECEPs)?

Yes they would take it but then I would have to take another class at tesc in order to meet their 24 credit residency requirement =(

I'm not a guru... but I'm wrestling with TESC right now through my degree plan and fitting courses where I want them, so I have a few thoughts.
For your Natural Science 3 credits... if you are good with Astronomy, Great! I just wanted to say TESC transferred half of the 6 credits of my College Mathematics CLEP for that requirement (dont ask me why!) and that exam is quite easy. So it might mean less study for you
For the Personal Responsibility requirement (I'm meaning the exact 3 credits, not just the whole category) I was told I would ahve to fill that with a course like Marriage and Family or something more personally related than Anthropology. Maybe you can ask someone at TESC (I called a few times before I enrolled and they would give tentative answers).
Lastly... I dont know what the pros and cons of B&M exams are since I havnt taken any, but for all the courses I saw you had listed to take B&Ms there are CLEPs that should be comparable. Just a thought

Sorry, I should clarify, the B&M (brick and mortar) classes are ones I took at my community college already.
As for the Anthropology credits, I kinda wondered about that but saw it in someone elses degree plan, not sure if it was an approved plan or not, maybe someone else can weigh in as well. honestly I have looked at so many plans the last couple of days I just might go for a Degree Planology major.

Actually, TESC already confirmed with someone that an anthropology test could be used. Personal Responsibility covers two categories: Ethics and Diversity/Global Literacy. Anthropology falls under diversity/global literacy. You can also see that TESC's anthropology course is listed on the website as diversity/global literacy.
General Education Courses
You can't use accounting for general education electives. It will only count as a free elective in any program except for business where it falls in the area of study.
Educational Psychology is not a required course. You need experimental psychology. You can fulfill this with a research methods course in psychology or the Uexcel ECEP. I don't think Marriage and the Family can be used because it's a sociology course. TESC gives a list of non-psychology courses/tests that can be used and they're all related to substance abuse.
http://www.tesc.edu/heavin/ba/Psychology.cfm
I strongly suggest you take another look at my test out plan. It is kept up to date and lists just about all of the test options.

Thanks sanatone for the review, good call on the marriage and family class. The accounting credits I put under free electives as they are already done so I might as well use them. I just swapped them with my Portuguese credits (I lived in Brazil for a while) so hopefully that will work. Thank you for your degree plan post on wiki, you might also want to mention on there about the 24 credit residency requirement that TESC has now. It kinda sucks but at least you can TECEP your way out of it still.
So the revised plan is as follows:
BA IN PSYCHOLOGY
I. General Education Requirements - 60 credits
A. Intellectual and Practice Skills - 15 credits

Didn't know that. I am choosing the per credit plan because it will be much cheaper overall then the enrolled option since you basically pay the same for the TECEP as you do cleps or dsst ect.
