Since I'm planning on going into public service, there's also loan-forgiveness opportunities for that: After 10 years in public service with consistent payments, all of the rest of my loans will be forgiven. I knew that going into the school and choosing to do two master's — knowing that I was headed for a career that was going to result in loan forgiveness.

So two masters and 130k in debt, all to be a slave for ten years just to break even? Lolz.

Some advise waiting until your career is established before completing a master's degree program.

The last thing you want to do is get a high-priced master's degree, then there is no job to get or you end up not likely in the career field.

Many MBA programs won't even take you unless you're at least 5 years into your career.  Makes sense, someone with an MBA and zero experience is putting themselves at a disadvantage when trying to start a career.
