TESU does not transfer in grades from any outside course to count towards your TESU GPA, even traditional courses completed elsewhere.

Shynepapin Wrote:Sorry to derail the thread, just got a quick question. Anyone have an idea if TESU now gives grades to CSU Global CBE's and factor those in GPA?
I don't think CSU gives grades for CBE's, so TESU couldn't give a grade even if they wanted to.
But as jsd said, TESU doesn't bring in your grades. They bring in the course for credit, but grades stay with the original school you took the course(s) at.
The only way to get a GPA at most schools is to take a class at that school. This applies to TESU - you have to take a course there to have a GPA there. They will compute a GPA from your other schools to make sure that you have a minimum GPA in order to get a degree, but they won't put that GPA info on your transcript.

Anyone able to use this to meet the programming requirement in the AoS for the BSBA CIS?
Advising said no, I've asked why, no response yet. ☹

Advising replied.
Quote:The equivalency granted to ITS320ESX from Colorado State University is not an appropriate option for the CIS area. You may attempt COS-116, C Programming, which we offer as an online course.
I guess I could do C with straighterline.

TESU changes equivalencies all the time. I had the CBE pre-planned last year. People can ask about the Uexcel for Java. There is also Straighterline's C++. I don't know why they will no longer let the CBE meet the programming requirement. They didn't give you a reason.

It's a bit of a pain is all.
I got confirmation on the Straighterline course.
Quote:The Straighterline course, Introduction to Programming in C++, is an approved option for the CIS area of study. It will transfer over as COS-213.
