Evaluation is key, hmm... Makes me want to be the guinea pig and try this out after I do my UMPI BAS & MAOL combo as I am set to start in July 1, don't want to lose focus on anything right now...

I don't know how IEE evaluations differ from other NACES providers, so it seems to me to be in Athabasca's discretion. Given Athabasca offers challenge for credit even on upper division courses, that would be a way to make sure they are approved. Cheaper than doing courses with them at any rate. Given that their rules change if it is a second degree, I will have to see how everything transfers later on.

After some more research and consideration, getting a degree in IT or CS first cycle is majorly advantageous to my postgrad plans. I was intending to do another degree on campus in engineering, but will likely skip that. Of the ones that offer IT or CS degrees, PUG seems to fit my needs best. I will still finish up the paperwork with Pierpont, as one can never have enough degrees. WGU is out as they don't allow internationals other than some Canadians. Meeting residency at Athabasca is expensive, similar things apply with TESU and Excelsior to my knowledge. WGU would likely allow me to transfer less in total, but the self-pacing is a strategy that works for me. For now I have looked at how things I have transfer in. I have 30 credits of equivalents so far in ACE, but could get that up to at least 70. Not sure how my actual credits will transfer in. There are two versions of the Masters I'm looking at, one 2 year and one that is just a year. To get into the short version I need a WAM of 65, which equates to a GPA of 2.7, which I believe is impossible to not meet with PUG due to the structure of the ExcelTrack.

Suggestions welcome

I got my revised degree plan back from PUG. They credited 26 credits from my prior education at ASU and foreign universities. 16 of those are filling up the elective space. Rest is in the core. Got Elements of Statistics to fill the generic GenEd requirement, and Spanish 1A to fill Arts and Humanities. Saves me from doing Ethics with Sophia. Would have expected IT Project Management to credit in as Project Management 1, though that is moot as I already have the Sophia course to fill that slot. Fortunately the credits coming in from ASU and Sophia so far have unlocked almost all courses in the degree plan. Finishing databases and networks at Sophia will unlock the majority of those remaining. The rest being locked in sequence from those. So far I have a plan for 76/180 credits needed. Not sure how much else I can get alternatively for less effort/cost than doing them at PUG.

Did you update the spreadsheet? You should color code it so the ones done are crossed out and in a different color... like, green. Yellow is the ones you're working on, and red are the ones to complete at PUG. You should try and max the PUG transfers with other ACE from Sophia.org, Google/Coursera Certs, etc, until you start with them...

Should be up to date now, my local copy gets updated more frequently as I primarily use Excel for this. I don't see many ways to increase the amount of credits transferred in given the degree requirements. I know Study.com has the Discrete Math, but I don't want to pay for a month of that for just the one course. To my knowledge the main two certs I might be able to get that would transfer in would be the CCNA for Routing and Switching 1/2 and one of the Linux certs. Maybe some of the programming as well. Though it is not clear if Sophia would fill those, and alternative certs seem to have changed as to how they transfer in.
