My advisor emailed me today and informed me that of July 1, 2014 some of Charter Oak's concentrations no longer need to have a CPS form submitted. I searched Charter Oak's website and found the list of concentrations that do and don't need a CPS:
Baccalaureate Concentration Plan of Study - Charter Oak State College Catalog
The ones listed first all appear to still need a CPS, the ones in the second list don't. Glad to see my concentration on the second list, one less thing to do this semester.

Actually, they have changed the Cornerstone this semester. It doesn't include anything about the CPS. Here is the syllabus: IDS 101 syllabus
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

The class seems even more pointless. A lot of this stuff is covered in English Comp II.

Whoa, yeah. Kinda wish they'd changed this before I took it. xD

The point of this course seems to be revenue generation for the college.

I rather enjoyed my cornerstone and felt it was a great way to start the comeback (my return to college). It really did help set the stage for my future work. The CPS was only part of the course at the time. I won't begrudge them their 3 credits either, only three colleges in the country have such lenient residency requirements.
MBA, Western Governors University February 2014
BS Charter Oak State College November 2011
AS in EMS August 2010
I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
