Haha (or not so haha I guess). I just applied to TESU 13 days ago. Sent off my 3 transcripts, too. Yesterday morning they posted the evaluation on 1 transcript.
I made up a BSBA Accounting spreadsheet using the 1st eval as a basis. Then I changed it to BSBA General Management. According to that, and where I think my other transfer credits will go (they just got the remaining transcripts yesterday), I think I will need to complete 14 more courses to earn the degree.
6 Saylor, 5 Study.com, 1 CLEP, 1 DSST, and 1 TECEP. Oh, and the LLS Capstone. The Cornerstone is news to me, but maybe I won't need that?
I did several online classes about 10 years ago, to finish up an AABA. I did a couple of Saylor classes a couple of years ago, for personal development. So, I think I can knock out these remaining courses pretty quick. My thought was I could do 3 or 4 classes each month, enroll in June, start the TECEP and Capstone, and wrap it all up by the end of the summer.
Last night I see the hubbub about the TESU waiver increase, and the TECEP Strategic Management going away?
I was looking at getting this all done for about $4000. Less, depending on what study.com costs. $4000 is really the most I want to spend, and that is pushing the limits. I'll post my eval once it's done, but does it look like that sub-$4000 Bachelor's is out the window for now?

TESU gives you UL credit for what seems like a fair amount of ACE recommended LL credit. Even with the 500$ increase I still think TESU is the better option.

Yeah, the $500 increase by itself isn't a deal-killer. The bigger issue is the Strategic Management course. I'm new to this forum and still learning to navigate it, but I wonder how much more is it going to cost me to earn the SM credits if I cannot TECEP it?
If I can register as late as May 25, I can hold off enrolling and registering until then. If the class closes up before that, then it looks like I'm forced into Guided Learning or an Online Course, which sounds MUCH more expensive. The $500 waiver fee increase PLUS increased cost of the SM class is what might push this over $4000.
So, I am looking at:
Application + transcripts = $96.50
Saylor $25 x 6 = $150
Study.com $100 x 5 = $500
CLEP $100 x 1 = $100
DSST $100 x 1 = $100
ACE transcript = $20
Residency waiver = $2500
Graduation fee = $323
TOTAL = $3789.50
The Cornerstone is $300, but maybe it will not be required if I have 104 hrs transferred before enrolling. Is that correct?
Strategic Management is $114 if done TECEP, but it looks like that will not be an option. Any ideas what it will cost done other ways?
SO, if the above is correct, and I am exempt from Cornerstone, total WITHOUT Strategic Management is about $3790.
Maybe I can hit Study.com just right and drop that 5-courses-for-$500 down a little. Maybe I can get the discount on the $2500 waiver.
I haven't seen anything to make me think COSC will be any cheaper, so right now it looks like if TESU is too expensive I will just bump the bachelor's from my list of things to do : /

It doesn't cost anything to register/enroll at TESU. But, if you want to lock in the Strategic Management TECEP, then I would advise you to register and take it sooner rather than later. It's $114. The TESU Online capstone course is $1500.

You have two different routes with Study.com , apply for the Guardian Scholarship and if you get it you get 5 free courses and a free Personal Finance course (required) You then get all those credits done for free. Or if you can complete all 5 courses in one month membership then the $500 only = $410 and even if you did study.com for two months with one extra course in there your looking at $470 if you need three months your looking at $600

dfrecore, I thought once I registered I would have to pay the Residency Waiver shortly after. So I can register, and then enroll in the SM TECEP? When is the Residency Waiver due? I would think enrolling before I have more hours will mean I will have to take the $300 Cornerstone. A $300 Cornerstone plus $114 TECEP is much better than the $1500 Online option.

Residency Waiver is due before you can graduate. Pretty much everyone pays it when they pay the 323 graduation fee. You will not have to take the cornerstone. Worst case scenario once you hit the 104 credit mark they will remove the requirement (sometimes automatic, sometime not) Or it is automatically waived if you are a study.com member (the scholarship will count)

Residency Waiver is paid closer to graduation.
Yes, you can apply at TESU, and then actually registering for the TECEP enrolls you.
If you are planning on taking any Study.com courses, you should do that and then apply to TESU with the affiliate membership. As of right now (it could change), the Residency Waiver is $1800 (10% off the old $2000), and waives the Cornerstone as well. So well worth it even if you don't get the scholarship from Study.com (6 courses free in 3 months).

Two of my transcripts have not been evaluated, yet. I think they will be by this time next week. I think I will have maybe 80 credits applied to various requirements.
So, I should ENROLL with TESU now? Per Credit Tuition plan? I think I read enrollment may take a couple of days to process.
Then REGISTER for the May 2017 TECEP- Strategic Management.
REGISTER with Study.com now, right? Then ask TESU Admissions to add Study.com affiliation to my profile (or file, or what?).
Move forward on my Saylor courses. If Guardian scholarship awarded, start on those courses right away. If not, push through Saylor courses, the CLEP that I can do, and the TECEP. Then try to knock out my Study.com over a two-month period.
Send my ACE transcript once Saylor classes are done. Make sure the CLEP is documented at TESU. And somewhere in the middle of all this, apply for graduation.
Sound right?
