Hi all,
I spoke with my advisor at COSC and she told me that they are not accepting study.com upper level credits as upper level credits for Advanced Technical Writing (UL Liberal Arts) and Advanced Operations Management (UL Business Elective). Has anyone encountered this? I don't understand why they wouldn't accept it when those classes are listed as upper level on the transfer list here. Charter Oak State College

That is no good! I think there is an upper level Operations Management TECEP test if you still want that. They need to correct the transfer page ASAP.

Yes they should update that ASAP, this is going to be a huge problem for people if they planned this out or already did them. Then again maybe don't go by your advisor they usually aren't the greatest. I'd talk to the department chair instead.

I thought COSC stuck pretty closely to ACE recommendation? Both of those are UL recommended by ACE, and Study.com seems to work directly with the schools to verify transfer equivalency. Hopefully there's just some misunderstanding from the advisor. I'm curious as to how this unfolds.

That doesn't seem right. I suggest that you double check this with the registrar. They always have the best information.

I don't know about the study .Com in particular, but COSC deviates from ACE rather often especially as it relates to UL credit.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Bummer, I guess I was mistaken. Hopefully the study.com account here has some insight

Study.com has no control over this. Each school gets to decide what they will do with ACE recommendations.

I wasn't trying to imply that Study.com did have control over it.
But their transfer guide still lists it as UL, and they work closely with the schools to keep those up to date. I was implying that they might have some insight on any change COSC might have made (and if such a change happened, they should update their transfer guides).
