COSC limits the amount of credits you can take with the cornerstone.

Maybe Publius2K can help me with this?

I am registered for three classes. One of them is not offered in the summer. I was told that I can only take 1 other class with my cornerstone? I earned 61 credits last year. I think I can handle 9 credits in 8 weeks but before I ask for a waiver or whatever the procedure is...does anyone who has taken the cornerstone think the 8 week courses are so rigorous that 9 credits shouldn't be attempted. Thanks!
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

I have not heard this policy before, but it makes sense. I don't believe it's an issue of rigor, but rather preventing you from taking too many courses in your degree plan before the plan is approved.

The admissions advisor said the policy is in place to prevent overzealous new students who have been out of an academic setting for quite some time from going in over their head. But, your explanation makes much more sense. My plan is rather cut and dry at this point. I know I need technology in law and I know I need constitutional law. How many classes did you take with the cornerstone?

I only took one with the cornerstone. I then took two with the capstone. I'm sure they can override the limitation if you explain your recent academic experience.

Did you feel like your course load was heavy with the two classes? Could you have handled another one?

I could have definitely handled another. The cornerstone is pretty easy, and the other course I was taking with the cornerstone was Cultural Diversity in Public Safety Admin.
