COSC PLA Scholarship
#1
This should help some of the cost of education. Smile

PLA Scholarship Announcement

Charter Oak State College (Charter Oak) is piloting a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Scholarship Program to encourage students with knowledge equivalent to college-level learning to pursue credit via established PLA pathways; thus reducing the cost of their education and their time to graduation. Students can pursue PLA to apply for credit instead of taking courses. Students can make use of the scholarship funds to take standardized examinations, have credentials evaluated, or use the portfolio process.

The Prior Learning Scholarship Application form and instructions are available online in the Student Forms section of Acorn (https://acorn.charteroak.edu/ICS/Students/Forms.jnz). Students should discuss their proposed PLA plan with their Academic Counselor, paying special attention to the applicability of any course challenge(s) to their degree plan. Students should submit their application as an attachment to their Charter Oak email to pla@charteroak.edu and include an educational resume.

Applications must be received by July 15 for Fall; November 15 for Spring; March 15 for Summer.

I like the way they think.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.
