COSC ENG 101 (Straighterline Question)
#1
If I take the Straighterline English Composition 1 does that equal COSC ENG 101? Or do I have to take Straighterline English Composition I & II to equal COSC ENG 101?

Thanks.

The Sl Eng 101 is only evaluated at 3 credits....so your gonna need Comp 2, COSC accepts the DSST Texhnical Writing for Comp 2.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

AwardTour,

I wonder if that is a typo on the course equivalency page. The way it is written SL Comp 1 transfers as COSC Comp 1 and SL Comp 2 also transfers as COSC Comp1, so you wouldn't need both to equal COSC Comp 1. If you look at the entry below it for Financial Accounting, that is an example of needing two SL courses to equal one COSC course. If you are enrolled at COSC, I would ask your adviser.

SL Engl. Comp. 1 should equal COSC ENG 101 and the same for II. It is probably a typo on SL's equivalency chart. However, you can always double check with the registrar's office or your advisor.

Yes Andy, this was my exact concern. That I would need two SL Courses to equal one COSC Comp 1. Maybe it is a typo? I will email COSC to ask. I might also ask someone at SL as well. Thanks everyone for answering my post.
