I believe I have 110 credits either mapped out or finished. It would be awesome if a few of you could help me out and check out

1. If my numbers are right
2. What could I take as my final 10 credits. I seem to have everything out of the way except for Miscellaneous/Liberal Arts.
3. If I have an average of 20 hours each week to study, how would you recommend I best go about it? And what is your estimate on time to finish? (This is the optional one, I have ideas, but I would love your input Smile )

Thank you so much for your time in reading this!

I have looked over your plan, and it looks really good to me. Unless something has changed, I think free FEMA credits would be best for any free electives that you need. It looks like you have plenty of liberal arts credits with what you have completed and what you have planned.

The last question is a hard one. I would maybe start on your CLEPS. Use Instantcert , the REA guides, and the Offical CLEP Guide. Good luck!
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

FEMA for the leftover, still free and relatively painless.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Keep in mind if you already have ENG Comp, the CLEP exam will only get you 3 credits, because of duplicate. You only get six credits if you don't have ENG 101.

If you already have English Comp 1 COSC will take the DSST Technical Writing in place of Comp 2. You can often skip the oral communications requirement if you can demonstr5ate some past public speaking experience.

You shouldn't need two ethics courses...the UL Business Ethics should satisfy that requirement and provide UL credit.

Analyzing and Interpreting Literature is arguably MUCH easier than any other clep, it provides 6 credits, and it satisfies the Literature requirement.

I would pick a CLEP or DSST doe the social science not the Uexcel....there is just so much out there to study for the CLEP than you will find for the uexcel....I would look at intro to Psych or sociology.

I would also take a hard look at that Saylor biology. I don't know anyone who has ever done it and it looks like a bear of a course. I would opt to take a science with a lab completely through SL...not that your plan is bad, just easier to pay a little more and transition through is smoothly. If you do take it through Saylor please come back and let us know how it went.

If they accept the DSST Civil War for the US History/Government requirement then know that its also UL credit so you could subtract one from the UL requirement most likely. They used to require both a Government and a US History so I just don't know if this will work or not.

TECEP's are cheap and likely easier to find study materials for than the Uexcel's...just look and see if some of those are easier for you in the UL area, they may or may not be.

For #3, well, I would chase the low hanging fruit first. I would run through all the tried and true credit by exam. Get comfortable taking CLEP and DSST, knock out all the gen eds. Go as fast as you like/can go. Knock out FEMA beginning with the PDS (its worth 6 credits and you earn a FEMA cert while your doing it). progress up through your UL like Uexcel and TECEP. Learn the system that works for you then exploit it.
