CLEP for grad school
#11
Congrats on your Nursing endeavor! As for Grad school taking Cleps to fulfill Course Competencies or to "round out" a long ago earned Bachelors --- more and more of them do. I am finishing my Masters of Teaching in only one year (!!!!) total time after finally completing my BA through CLEP's and this board. I had 90+ credits from my long ago all-but-graduated college days and just needed to get it over with.

Then in my Masters program they wanted me to have another undergraduate history class and another English Comp course. So I did a fast Penn Foster Readings of Western Civ and then CLEP'd the English Comp. Liberty University is a "real" school and they are way uptight about just about everything. They did not blink an eye when I told them I was doing my English Comp with a CLEP. The guy said "why not do the History course that way too?". I did not answer with my true thoughts..........."well, I can wing the English Comp but the History, not so much".

My husband is a Physics teacher and decided to add on a Social Science endorsement "just in case" and they let him use a CLEP too.

That's excellent news!!! I love to hear stuff like that, because people inquire here all the time about how CLEP will work for grad school. I'm always honest about what CLEP is and isn't, but yours and mine are good examples of what it is Smile
Here's to quick employment! cheersmate
