He's taking it tomorrow. He took both REA pretests. He didn't do super well but did pass. He also took the CLEP book exam today and got 70% of those questions right. I hope he passes.

If he passed on the REA he should do fine. Instantcert has audio files available for the western civilization courses which were helpful for me. I also did the Edportal stuff but found them mind numbingly boring. Especially the Western Civ II course.
Don't forget that gaining college credit by taking exams is one of the reason's we're here. That's mainly possible through the flashcards made available by the owner of this forum :

Hey guys, I'm brand new at this. I just finished my freshman year of high school and I'm taking a CLEP test for the first time ever. Any ideas on how to best go about this? I'm doing Western Civilization I.

Many people have taken this. Use search to find multiple perspectives from a variety of people. There isn't any one best answer for everybody. You need to synthesize a strategy using the opinions of many as the starting point.
