I want to take the CLEP Humanities test so I can save money and hopefully time. I'm a senior in Electrical Engineering and I have no knowledge about humanities. I bough REA's book and it was very difficult for me because there was like a million things to memorize. I just recently got the book and I finished about a quarter of it. Do you guys have any advice for someone like me, or do you think that its better to just take the class and save myself a headache.

This test covers a broad range of information that is difficult to study for in a short time. That being said, how much does it hurt you to try? You will only be out the testing fee and if you end up taking the class you will be ahead of everyone else because you studied for it in advance.
Do this to study if you do not want to put a lot of effort into it. Go through all the practice tests in the REA book and circle all the correct answers (they are provided) than read through the questions and only the correct answers several times. Next, take the test. You may surprise yourself with how well you can do on the test with this method.

I highly suggest using instacert for Humanities. That was the only thing I used during my month long preparation. I passed with a 65 and the test seemed easy.

I haven't taken this test but I wanted to recommend that you try the Peterson practice tests. You can go
here and just follow the directions. They can help you see some things that you might need to work on. Also, check out the Specific Exam Feedback if you haven't already. HTH! Good luck with your test.
