CLEP & DSST EXAMS before COLLEGE ENROLLMENT

Hello! I'm very new, but after much research - I am definitely going to finish my degree in the next 12 months! I currently have approximately 50 credits (lower) from UGA and a community college (20 years old). I think that I can decipher (before enrolling into any college) what course I need to take in order to get my BS - Business Admin or Management or similar.

My question: 1.) I am going to go ahead with studying and taking exams BEFORE enrolling in a college. Is this an okay plan?
2.) I thought that I'd decided on Excelsior, but after reading many posts...I'm thinking I need more advice on which of the big three to choose. Help!
