CLEP College Math
#1

I am wondering if anyone that has already taken this exam also purchased the study guide from the CLEP website? If you did purchase it, did you have difficulty with the sample problems but still pass the actual CLEP exam?

What? Me panic??

Hi all. I am scheduled to take the Math CLEP on Wednesday. I've been studying and studying and I still can't seem to get a handle on the CLEP study guide practice test. I have also used the testprepreview.com site and the khanacademy site mentioned in a previous email.

It's been over 20 years since I did math and I didn't do so hot back then. Of course, I've walked myself straight into a corner on this one. Either I pass this exam and graduate next month or I fail and get to take an actual math course.

Any thoughts appreciated. Unfortunately, I live in a fairly rural area with hardly any library access that's any count.

Thanks a bunch....

Can we use wierd names on this board, like in Ann Landers?? If so, sign me:

Yes, the questions in the CLEP Official Study Guide do tend to be a little harder than the actual test.

Here are the two resources I used to take the test (both highly recommended):

- Comex Review for the CLEP General College Mathematics Exam
- Princeton Review's Cracking the CLEP

Using these books, I passed the test with a 74. I have taken six CLEP tests and this has probably been the easiest of them all. The exam is not difficult, since it is mostly a review of high school basic math concepts.
