Anyone taken this one? I have all of the textbooks that are listed on the DSST fact sheet. I was planning to just go through the sections that are listed in the fact sheet outline rather than trying to read all of this material (it's a lot to read 4 textbooks!).
Does that sound like a good strategy or would it leave me with too many gaps for the exam? I mean, sometimes these fact sheets are kind of vague. For example "Kantian ethics" ... that covers a large range!
Ultimately this doesn't seem like a difficult exam, but of course I have gaps in my knowledge that I need to study a little bit at least.

I thought I was going to have a real hard time with this test cause I just always thought ethics was boring. Its not that bad look on the feedback forum they got a study guide on there and also do IC. Then do the practice exam on free-clep and then the offical one and you should be good. Be ready to do alot of reading on the exam.

Thanks, I didn't know about the free-clep. I don't have access to the specific exams forum, though. I doubt I'm going to do any IC cards. It just doesn't seem to fit my study style. If you (or anyone) know of any other (free) practice tests please let me know!

There are free practice tests and study guides on http://www.free-clep-prep.com. That website has links to free study guides and practice tests for most CLEP and DSST exams.

Don't ever think you need to buy all 4 books!
I would recommend reading one of the books all the way through. This information will be useful to you on the test, in your career and in grad school if you choose to pursue an MBA.
Know some landmark legislation, supreme court cases and kantian, duontology etc.
BSBA CIS from TESC, BA Natural Science/Math from TESC
MBA Applied Computer Science from NCU
Enrolled at NCU in the PhD Applied Computer Science

I 2nd what ryoder says. I've only bought one book out of the 20 CLEPs and DSSTs I've taken. Case in point, internet is KING!! (and the local library)

I usually buy them used on Amazon or some other online seller. I don't generally pay more than $5 for a book, although I usually get an older version, not the lastest edition. Most of the time that's fine, though, since college textbooks are a complete racket. The new editions almost never have anything siginficantly updated or new in them.

I'm doing an online course through Columbia College. The course text isn't sold on amazon because its created by the college specifically for the course. $221!!!! I'm still dying from paying that much for one book. I've been able to sell most of my previous books on amazon, but I don't know how much I can get for this WONDERFUL PIECE of GOLD. AGHHH

I earned my degree at Columbia College and those MBS Books are outragious!!

Wow, $221 for one book!! Maybe I should rethink the idea of taking courses at Columbia! :eek:
