Both DSST and ECE Ethics?
#1
I see many posters here taking both the DSST and ECE versions of the Ethics exam, but I'm wondering why. I asked the advising team at EC about taking both versions of the Ethics, HRM, or Org Behavior exams and was told...

"The Excelsior College Organizational Behavior exam does duplicate Dante's Organizational Behavior as is the case with the Human Resource Management and Ethics exams. You can only have one of each of these exams applied towards your academic record."

Do other schools allow both, or have you received other information from EC, or are you not taking both for credit?

I don't know for certain but I assume it's because of Excelsior's Upper Level requirements. I know at least for the Liberal Studies degree, Excelsior requires at least 30 credits to be upper level credits (300-400) level.

I assume some folks may have already taken the DSST Ethics or DSST HRM or DSST Org. Behavior and found out that the DSST's for these exams are only lower level; which is why they needed to take the ECE exams for UL credit.

Just my guess.

I've taken both Ethics (DSST and ECE). Both were accepted at EC towards my General Business Degree.
