My god i froze today in my social psychology Mid-term. banghead I literally made crap up that had nothing to do with the question. I wrote what look like hieroglyphics hoping the mentor would give up and just not look at that horrid paper. banghead
The crappy part is that my avg in that class right now is about 87 with the 30% off the midterm Im worried I wont pass now. Does anyone know what score is passing even with a bad grade at TESC?
Thank you banghead
Oh yeah I passed my mid-term on human experience and death.. So great Im proficient in depressing death.

nj593, sorry to hear that. Was this PSY 379 (6 credits)? I'm supposed to take this next week. You got me sweating. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I checked the course sylabus for the course I just finished at TESC 60-69 is a D below 60 is an F. So if you still have assignments and a final and you have an 87 before the mid-term unless you got a zero on the mid-term(which I doubt) you should still pass the course. Just relax and do your best on the rest of the course:nopity: You can still do this.

For what it's worth, I took my midterm for an Intro to Computers class last week at TESC and it was a lot harder than I thought. I was expecting multiple choice but I had to define a lot of technical terms so I was flustered as well. I feel your pain as far as just trying to scribble as much information as you can even when you're clueless. In your case, I hope your mentor gives you a 60 as a worst case scenario considering you made an effort, anything below that would be cruel I would think.

No the mid-term was easy only 4 questions essay's each worth 25 points. Problem for me was that I literally forgot the answers. The test was all on theory and cognitive process terms, logic and theory and models.
But I for some reason forgot it all.
Someone said if i got a 60 i should be fine. NOPE ! I got a big 0 !!!
Maybe 25 points if that.. None the less at this point I cant worry about it because its done. I think I can pull a 60 out of my butt by the end and pass with a d.

nj593, I remember on one of your previous posts you mentioned how easy the classes at TESC were. This is my first semester as well and I think the assignments kind of lull you into thinking the classes are easier than they are but I think the midterms create utter terror, at least from my experience so far. I hope your mentor gives you more than a 25 unless you left a blank page. Yeah, shake it out of your system and move on.

Hi NJ,
Sorry to hear about the mid-term (ouch!) they are actually in my opinion very hard; regardless if multiple choice with essay, essay, and short id...whatever. If you happen upon an easy midterm (intro to business) the rest of the class is a ton of writing and you have a ridiculously long final paper. Whoever set up the courses is doing a great job!
I think we go through some type of anxiety attack on these midterms. Funny because it did not happen at my B&M, but in the library all by myself I will go blank or simply 2nd guess myself into a stupor!
Now -- Chin up, brush off and get yourself back in the game!! :patriot:
PS. I read somewhere classes can be repeated later to replace the grade if necessary.

I just finished all my classes at TESC. I think the Midterms are the toughest part of the classes and they're weighted 30% in the classes I've taken. I took one Final before the Midterm...kind of strange but I did. I rescheduled the Midterm 9,000 times before finally settling on the last possible day because of anxiety but I still ended up being unprepared. Luckily, I did well on the papers and the Finals so I think I'll still end up with a decent grade. Oh well, I'm just glad I'm done now so I can just focus on my last 2 classes at AMU. My classes at AMU seems mostly writing intensive so I don't think I'll have to worry about anymore testing nerves. Anyway, just wanted to share and procrastinate before I write another paper.

I lucked out turned out that the teacher did not properly upload study materials so i get to take extra work assignments on to fix the grade.
thank god.
