I just came across the link in an online article about college textbook inflation. It looks like this could provide another good free resource for those needing textbooks/study guides for classes or for CLEP/DSST/ECE/TECEP exams. First Saylor & Flat World Knowledge textbooks, now this! It's a good time to be involved with alternatives for higher education!

Did you try to sign up for a book? I got one book for free, but they require that you get a share on Facebook for each additional book. It sounds like a minor annoyance for free books that may or may not align with the course you're taking, but it's enough for me to look elsewhere.

Never mind. I found a way to read the books online without signing up for an account. It just requires a lot of clicking and there's no placeholding.

Still sounds kind of annoying, but given the price I suppose it could be worth it.

But it seems that only certain subjects have textbooks available for reading without an account. I went ahead and signed up for an account, but I can't see anything at all. I just get this forever spinning circle, but the content never loads. :/ I guess I'll have to buy a regular ole' textbook!

If it is too good to be true, it almost always is. Its safer to just buy books and sell them back or pass the on to friends n family than risk geting caught in some scam or fraud.
