I'm studying for the biology clep and wanted to know any methods or materials used to pass this test. Also, are there any websites (for free) which help explain the topics we need to know for the test?

I haven't taken this yet, but I do know that several people on this board have passed recently and posted some info. Try the search feature. I know that one of the recommended books was called Biology Smart. I also think Petersons has practice tests for this. Try the search feature for this too. There was a link to these for free access posted recently, too.
(Sorry, I'm having computer troubles and can't get to the links very easily right now.)

Hi Jsh2,
I used the REA study guide which I thought was very good for this test. An excellent free resource is Rader's BIOLOGY 4 KIDS.COM . It is very basic but truly illustrates the concepts in very simple terms. Good Luck!

Definitely use the search feature to check other threads on this topic--you'll find some very helpful info.
SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides has a pretty good free section on biology.

REA was very good for this. You might want to check out some DVD's titled "Core Biology." Also he Standard Deviants series, although dorky, were extremely useful and I strongly suggest you view them.
Good luck to you. -Terry
