Biology?
#1
Okay, so I'm using the REA book and Intercept for this Biology clep. Will that be enough? I understand I need at least a 50 and I only made a 43 on the REA's practice (without studying before hand, just to get an idea of where i was at) so I'm hoping maybe I can be able to bring that up to at least a 60+ by Thanksgiving. Think I can do it? Wish me luck!

:nopity: Love my Violin, Lol.

I am in the same boat. Only I have had NO biology prep at all other than 8th grade and I didn't do too well on that either - centuries ago.

I am ONLY using InstantCert Biology Flashcards and the 3 CLEP practice exams. I am only studying 14 days - ALL DAY LONG - 8 am to 6 pm straight - and I test out on Friday, November 19th.

I HOPE this will be good enough. I go through each Flashcard set about 10 times each until I have memorized the fill in blank. I cannot really remember anything else but the fill in word, so we'll see if this strategy works. It worked before on other subjects but then again I had prior knowledge of those subjects. In Biology, I have almost no prior knowledge. It's taking me about 4 hours for each InstantCert category under Biology.

I think you can do it. Especially if I pass this on Friday, then you should be able to do it too. I don't consider myself very smart, just dedicated. So anyone with even a little bit of smarts should be able to pass this. We'll see !

Good luck!! Let me know how it goes for you, alright? The last Biology I took was my sophomore year in high school about 3 years ago, but that barely counts considering the teacher was senile...Anyway good luck!!! :hurray:

I passed ! I used InstantCert Flashcards for 9 days of full 8 hour day study, took the next 2 days taking the 3 free Petersen tests and then took 3 days off doing shopping and mindless wandering. Then I took the 3 free Petersens CLEPS the day before the actual test which was today, Fri, Nov. 19th. I passed with a 51 ! It's not the greatest score but I only needed 50 to 80 - and now it's proven that BIOLOGY CLEP can be done with as little as 11 days of study.

Keep in mind I'm a dumbass too - and took Biology in 8th grade, got D's in it. So the InstantCert flashcards really help. The practice tests are invaluable in that they prepare you for the same type of questions that are on the actual. In fact, I could swear that some of them were exactly the same.

It can be done ! Now, 4 more CLEP to go. The method of my madness will be Instant Cert flashcards and the 3 free CLEP practice tests.

Congrats on passing Biology! I took it on the 18th and I also passed it. It was such a relief. I was pretty nervous right before I submitted my scores.:ack: Good luck with the rest of your tests. :hurray:
