Hi all,
I wanted to post my recent publically available LinkedIn post where I met the president of Panama for business. So many questions here come up about what type of degree to get, what to do with the degree, will it help me, etc. come up, that I am hoping that this is in some way beneficial or at the very least inspirational. My business degree by itself did not land me a great job, or get me a meeting with a head of state - but it was one of many important steps and the meeting with Pres. Varela was a key highlight of my career.

P.S. President Varela will be leaving office shortly after the country's May 5 election, just in case anyone sees the post in a few months.

Unfortunately, they retired my particular program, but there are others. I would 100% recommend a bilingual MBA or really ANY MBA that has something "extra" to it. It really helps you stand out from the crowd.
Spanish has been such an integral part of my life and a key component of my career. I can only recommend that you do what it takes to improve it. However, know that doing graduate-level papers in Spanish was TOUGH and when I got to grad-level finance it was like a whole new level of hell. Ha ha ha ha but it paid off so I guess the suffering was worth it.
