#1
Well I had never heard of naprapathy before but it seems that this school in Santa Fe just got DEAC accredited so lets all run over there and get out connective tissue worked on.  Or is it worked out?  Worked over?

I've been following these folks for years, happy to see that their program was accredited. Their founder single-handedly managed to make Naprapathy a licensed profession in New Mexico, there is only one other school in the US (the National College of Naprapathic Medicine in Chicago), which is currently not accredited, but licensed by the state of Illinois to qualify students for licensure within the state. Naprapathy has a fascinating history, having been developed by Oakley Smith who was an early student of DD Palmer (the founder of chiropractic), and the only student to graduate with special honors under Palmer's tutelage. The two had a falling out over what he believed to be fraudulent claims by Palmer, and Smith then set about giving due reverence to the Czech people that he believed had actually transmitted to bone-setting discipline to Palmer (which they called Napravit) and to update the discipline in accord with the science of his time (inventing a charting system to add precision to the work). Smith is still remembered for his contributions to our understanding of the intravertebral foramen.
