Best ROI/Value - EDX Microbachelors/Micromasters
#11
Hmmm I wonder if can this be used for the TESU EdX SOS 110 Information Literacy cornerstone

https://www.edx.org/microbachelors/tesu-...n-literacy

If so, the cornerstone could be taken for $50 at EdX instead of $545*3 = $1635 at TESU

For the time being, the AAS Applied Computer Studies and the BACS (Computer Science) are the only two degrees that will accept the EDX course for transfer credit. Having said that, there are always workarounds...

In case they open the same courses for the next run:

For the SQL course: check all the "knowledge checks" as is mostly about reading the select statements and how would be the results obtained after applying those commands.

For the Statistics with Python course: Check the Codio labs, as very similar (but not identical questions) would comprise maybe 40% of the exam. And as you need 12 out of 16 questions, you can´t afford to miss them. You can´t leave them to luck, as those are questions where you have write the coefficients or the results obtained in boxes. Many questions are not multiple questions.

It tells you to complete it, but the final exam date already passed many weeks ago.

However, the most important point is that those programs are getting discontinued.

Those courses are part of the edX SNHU Microbachelors.

I guess that TESU lost interest in the Microbachelors?

https://www.edx.org/bachelors/microbache...ndamentals
and
https://www.edx.org/bachelors/microbache...ndamentals

say:

"This program is pending recognition for credit by Thomas Edison State University."

since always.

Hmm, those are for Fundamentals of Stats... most likely going to come in as lower level stats courses and will duplicate what ACE/NCCRS has for options... The only saving grace is that it may come in as different numbers, thus may be an easy 3 credit if it doesn't come in as duplicate. So, it's like taking overlapping courses just for the extra credit for gen eds, free electives, maybe the AOS electives or something.

The one I selected was for the IBM Full Stack Application/Cloud Development option, I think it'll go well with the Coursera counterpart, their IBM Full Stack Software Developer Professional Certificate

I highly suggest getting all the cheapies/freebies on Coursera and EDX combined, this price is originally $713.90, but I got it for roughly $72 and the Coursera/TADA offerings are FREE.

Would you like to share your experience with edX IBM Full Stack Application/Cloud Development versus the coursera IBM Full Stack Application/Cloud Development course? Are they the same?
For example course learning, prices and value from college credits and employment point of view.

Thank you
