Still waiting for my official evaluation from Excelsior. I switched from BS- CPA track to BS- General Accounting
Does anyone know if Cost Accounting fulfills the Managerial Accounting part of the Business Core requirements for a BS -General Accounting ?

I'm also on the track for a BS in General Accounting. I can tell you that I took Managerial Accounting and still need to take Cost Accounting. I plan and hope Excelsior will approve this course:
LSU Independent and Distance Learning
It will be my last accounting class.

Thank you Pixaloop. I just realized after looking at the catalog , that cost accounting is a required course in the concentration. Prior to that I was looking at the chart that did not list out the required subjects for the accounting concentration
I have taken both Managerial Accounting and Cost Accounting at a community college but because I took Managerial Accounting over 20 years ago it can not be used for the core requirement. I was hoping I could use Cost Accounting to cover the Managerial Accounting as it has not aged out yet but now I see they are both required courses.
Oh well, I guess I will have to do the StraighterLine accounting course that transfers into Excelsior as Managerial Accounting.
