BSBA Gen management plan review.
#1
Earlier this year I was looking at TESC for a BSAST in Military Technology Leadership, while I am still interested in it, it will not let me test out of the core classes. More about that here : http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...rship.html

Moving on......
Attached is my proposed plan for a BSBA Gen management, let me know what you think and what changes I should make.
.docx   Less than 1 minute ago">BSBA General management Mil and ace.docx (Size: 19.09 KB / Downloads: 0)

Notes:
The highlighted items are classes completed
I used TESC MVP to forecast how some of my military credits may fit the degree, sadly most ended up as electives.

I also have the two following classes from
MG Robert M. Joyce Installation Management Academy, School for Family and MWR
which I can hope get added to my specialization.
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training

NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) Basic Contracting (E-Learning):
Credit Recommendation: In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 2 semester hours in acquisition, contracting, procurement, purchasing, or general business (1/13)

Family and MWR Budgeting in the NAF and APF Systems
Credit Recommendation: In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 2 semester hours in budget management (1/13)

Thank you again guys!

It seems that my company may be covering tuition giving me the option to select a plan besides the Per credit plan.
I will look more into this.
I almost forgot!
finishing up Straighterline Business Law and English 1.
Next step ALEKS for stats!

Just a quick glance, but I have some questions for you:
1) Have you done the eval for BSBA to see what it comes up with? You can do that in MyEdison to see.
2) It looks like you're using the 2015 or earlier catalog, and I don't think that's right. If you switch to a different degree plan, you switch to the current catalog. Have you taken that into account?

Here are the issues I see:
1) I've never seen anyone use TEEX courses for Computer Concepts - I would make sure that will count
2) SL Business Ethics will not fulfill Business in Society/Int'l Management - it will go up to fulfill your ethics requirement, and you will need to take the TECEP or TorCollegeCredit's International Business course.
3) You need another area (FIN or MAR) in the specialization, and 1 must be UL (OPM counts as MAN for area of study)
4) Basic Contracting may go to the area of study, but 2cr will not help much (you'd have to figure out how to get 1cr and I don't think that's an option)
5) Budgeting will most likely be considered a "personal finance" type course, and only count as a free elective

Unfortunately, all of those electives are not helpful in a BSBA because so few are allowed.

dfrecore,
Thank you for your reply, to answer your questions:
1. No, I have not. Is it a requirement for me to be enrolled prior to using that service? I have only gotten an unofficial evaluation for BSAST in Technical Studies.
2. I've based it on Sanantone's TESC BSBA in General Management and General Education Options After July 1, 2015. Seems to follow the current catalog, unless I'm missing something?

Issues response:
1. I can't remember who had them evaluated as such. Might have been for one course and obviously for only 2 CR. Leaving me needing 1 CR.
2. Thanks I had no clue. just followed Sanantone's and the tesc/straighterline course equivalent on straighterlines website.
3. Yeah I haven't decided what TECEP to take for those yet. Recommendations welcome.
4. Makes sense, I might try to look at where I got those credits from and see if I can find another class, depending on what TESC says when I get my transcripts evaluated again.
5. I figured something like that, just gotta wait and see at this point.

Thank you again, I'll try and research a bit more on what other classes I may need and see about getting an official evaluation soon.

Ah...ok, I am now realizing you did not enroll and have an actual eval done. And the document you have is not complete for some sections based on 2016, so I thought it was from a previous year.

I am PM'ing you with more info!
