They will be paying for Sophia upfront. Won’t start until September 1st though!
For SDC, they’ll cover it as a tuition reimbursement since I can’t do two college start programs. I’m okay with that since they’re covering Sophia right now.
Any suggestions as to the best way to utilizing the SDC membership? I thought I seen a post regarding it but can’t seem to find it.
Wouldn't you be better off paying out-of-pocket for the cheaper Sophia membership, and then having your work cover the more expensive SDC membership?
I reached out again about that and Study.com seems to be less flexible. They won’t allow course substitutions unlike Sophia where they said I can make the changes prior to the start date.
You'd need to give us more information. What courses are they saying you must take with them? Who is saying you can't do substitutions? What's the reason? Is there a way around that? (like, if you already took Psych 101, they're probably not going to say you must take it again, in which case maybe you can take an UL psych course as a substitute).
We need more info to help.

Here is a snippet of their College Start bundles they have with SDC/Sophia. Full link here -

College Start: IT & Business (SOPHIA)

I've already explained to my "Education Coach" my plan and already informed her of having taken English Comp I (RA credit) and College Algebra (SOPHIA). She had to do some fact checking (possibly with higher ups and Sophia) to see if substitution was possible before approving my application for the 100% tuition coverage. When I reached out to Sophia regarding it, the learning coach stated Sophia was okay with the substitution and that it was up to Guild. I didn't see a direct contact for SDC outside of the contact form on their website. Most of my communication with Guild has been through my Education Coach.
