You don't have to finish them. You have sign up for them by July 31st and you can push the start day wayyyy further in time like 6 months from now even. And you can start anytime. So say your start day for a course is October you could always change your mind and start next week. But if you set the start date to next week you can't change your mind and start in October instead. Hope that makes sense.

Actually, as long as you sign up for a Sophia course by July 31st, it'll be free. You don't have to finish it by then. You can set the start date for the future and you can keep changing it, so long as you haven't started yet.

For instance, you sign up for World History I on July 30th and you put the start date for August 10th.

As August 10th approaches, you think that you're going to be too busy to finish the course in the 60 days. You set the start date for September 10th. You start on Sept 10 and finish the course at the end of September. The course will still cost you nothing; it'll be completely free.
