BA in Liberal Studies TESC - HELP, guidance

I'm new to this. I have 2 children who plan on studying at TESC. I need to know exactly which classes accept which tests? Can someone give me guidance please?
So far this child has Clep Sociology. Hoping for Analyzing & Interpreting Lit towards the end of the month.

A maximum of two college-level courses equating to the 100 level can be applied toward the liberal studies area of study. A minimum of 18 credits equating to 300 or 400 Thomas Edison State College are required.

You are AWESOME! Yes, this is what I need. It should work for both of my children. I don't mean to be thick headed, I see that TESC has testing too. Can we still have the kids take the test without actually being registered? Will it save us money if we do it that way? We want to have them take as many tests as possible, thinking it will save the most money, is this true?

Yes, you will save a lot of money doing all your CBEs (Credits-by-Exam such as CLEP, DSST, possibly AP and IB if the kids are still in HS)) that are not TESC. Save TECEPs for when you are ready to enroll. There are a lot of money saving schemes combining TECEPs with tuition requirements. I am not the expert in this, but you can search this forum for many lively suggestions. If you need courses for instruction Straighterline and ALEKS transcripted through ACE are the usual low cost routes. This forum can help you with many different possibilities. But you can get going on all the CBE possibilities right away. At present you are only required to take one course, the Capstone, at TESC. Every other course could possibly be earned through a less costly path than TESCs full time tuition options. Things are changing rapidly all the time. What works today my not tomorrow. Don't sweat the final financial plan until all your CBEs and ACE courses are in the bag in order to achieve your lowest cost vision. Good luck.

The upside to enrolling now is that you lock in the current catalog. There have been horror stories of people delaying enrollment just to find out that things have completely changed when they were finally ready to enroll. In the past, it made sense to delay enrollment, but not anymore with the Per Credit Tuition Plan. With the Per Credit Tuition Plan, you don't have to worry about an annual enrollment fee. As long as you take one TECEP (or course) per rolling 12 months, you will stay enrolled. You will also have the bonus of getting guidance from advisors. Under the Per Credit Tuition Plan, there is a 24-credit residency requirement for bachelor's degrees, but this can be fulfilled with TECEPs. This will save you thousands over choosing the Enrolled Options Plan.
