I know what we're discussing can be done in theory, whether YOU can do it, no one here can really say. That said...

The fastest way to do this is the BS in Business Administration at TESU. All other paths require a 12 week capstone course, which will take more work and put you in a more rigid timeline. The BSBA has an capstone exam that can be taken instead of the course. Unfortunately we have been put on notice that the test option is going away so if you want to do that, you have very little time. the timing details are below.

if you cannot pass business courses quickly, the next quickest path is the BA in Liberal Studies, which allows you much more latitude in what courses you can take. The way to start is the same for both options. Immediately post a list of your current credits here, apply to TESU, and send your transcripts to TESU. While that is going on, you can start on GenEd courses. The ALEKS suggestion above is as good as anywhere to start. By the time you finish there, we'll have helped you make a plan to follow.

Now, TESU graduates in Sep, Dec, Mar, and Jun. The best you could possibly hope for is a Sep graduation, and that will only happen if you spend every spare waking moment working on this, you have a lot of the knowledge you need already, and you have a good bit of luck. It will also require that you register for either the BSBA capstone exam (TECEP) or the liberal arts capstone course in time for the May term, the deadline for that is April 15, late registration ends on the 23rd. In the case of the BSBA you also need to do it now because the exam is going away. By mid-August you will know for sure whether you've succeeded, and have an email from TESU saying you've met your requirements, so hopefully your employer will accept a Sep graduation based on that. If they will accept Dec graduation, you will have a much better chance of succeeding, so you might want to sound them out on the idea.

I have also been really considering a BSBA. Especially if I don't have to do a regular capstone. Could I register now (and study and take it), even though I haven't applied at TESU, and even though I haven't gotten business credits yet? (I have some business knowledge, but not enough for PLA.) Then it would get me out of the capstone if I decided to enroll later? Even if it takes me over a year?

You would need to be enrolled at TESU quickly to lock in this years degree plan. I guess if you applied, did the TECEP and got the credits onto your degree plan, then you are good to go for one year. If you enroll after the change then you will have to follow the new requirements.

I would suggest that anyone who isn't sure but thinks they might want to get a BSBA at TESU get about the business in applying, and registering for the Strategic Management TECEP. If you end up not getting the degree, you can still transfer the credits to another school (and it's UL).

There's nothing that says the TECEP won't COUNT in the future, only that they won't be offering it any longer.

To answer your question, this has been practiced before and being used already (some can finish more than 30 credits in a month).
The old way was to CLEP/DSST/GRE non stop, if the student knew the info, by all means they went for it. This was known as the BA in 4 weeks method.
It's just that many people have to study for the courses and therefore, it actually wasn't 4 weeks, it took longer (I guess at least 4 months).

Now, people use Saylor, Straighterline, Study.com, PLA to complete the majority of the requirements, and take the TECEP capstone at TESU.
It's the AOS/Final 15 credits or so, that is harder for most people to finish as those courses are harder to find (unless you go for Gen Man).
If the individual "knows" the subject well enough, Saylor is the ticket - if they're not strong on the subject, Straighterline is the way to go.

If you're in a rush, I highly suggest Study.com for the courses not available at Saylor or Straighterline, and to do them as soon as you can.
There's a strategy on completing courses as fast as possible, from easiest to hardest. The person taking the courses will need to buckle down.
Don't do anything else or get off track, but work on the courses for the entire day practically completing exams/quiz, midterms and papers.

Start today.. time is wasting away literally. You will be real close but it is def doable.


I've seen it done here. You can do it. hell, wasn't the fastest time one week by some guy that came here from China and took like 30+ tests in a week?

Or what about getting the easiest, quickest Associates credits (NA credits?) and using them toward a degree?

As easy as it seems, any NA credits (other than the ones that are ACE/NCCRS recommended), it will be HARDER/SLOWER and MORE EXPENSIVE
My recommendation for anyone wanting to get speedy credits if they are NEAR a testing site, CLEP/DSST and go for COSC.
If they're further away or want to do so online instead of onsite, then ACE/NCCRS courses would be best for COSC and TES.

That's my plan! 6 months. Let's see if I can do it! (The only hold up on my completion will be the Capstone, if they delay me taking it due to not allowing an early sign up before having a certain amount of credits) I feel like I have a really good chance to be done in 6 months.
