BA Social Sciences from TESC
#1
Since I just finished my BA in Social Science from TESC, I thought I would post my degree plan that I used. This document has been my good friend for the past 18 months. For those interested in earning your BA in Social Sciences, you might find this helpful- but there are many many paths to earning that degree, this is only one way. If you have not written down a plan, I suggest doing it- it is very good to have a clear plan laid out to track your progress.
Good Luck everyone!

Jennifer,

With the recent changes TESC made to the Social Science and History degree, would it be easy for you to take a minute and note next to your original post what courses would now change?

I could do the leg work too, but if you have it at the tip of your fingers, please do share!

Thanks (again).

Cook,

Do you have any info on LIB-495 Liberal Arts Capstone? I was told early on it caps off the liberal arts and social science degree. It was not required as part of my degree plan but I have not heard any discussion about the course (good or bad). I'm wondering if its a bear? ....Smile

sorry guys, just got back from a great vacation (from florida to an ice storm lol)

Anyway, it might be a couple days before I can get caught up- as for modification, it's going to be adding history in for sure....and I hate history....so just off the top of my head that's the one major change. The social sciences that I love best (psych, soc, anthro) are mainly lower level unless you start using the other exams. To stick with CLEPs and DSSTs, it'll require the histories.

I just rec'd a notice that this thread was liked, but I want to emphasize that this was from summer 2008 and the degree plan I followed does NOT work under the current catalog!!
