Associate Degree Plan - TESC?
#1
Here is the credits I have: Can you guys let me know if this will fly with TESC with the AA degree.
Also: S/L is for straighterline. The ????? is not yet completed, will these fulfill the requirement.

English Comp Requirements (6)
-English Comp I - S/L (3)
-English Comp II - S/L (3)

Humanities Requirements (12)
-A/I Literature - Clep - (6)
-Business Comm - S/L (3)
-Technical Writing - DSST ??????

Social Sciences Requirements (12)
-Macroecon - S/L - (3)
-Intro to Soc. - CLEP (3)
-Intro to Psych - CLEP (3)
-Substance Abuse ?????

Natural Sciences/Math
-College Algebra - FHSU - (3)
-Intro to Comp. - DSST - (3)
-Business Stats - S/L - (3)

G. E. Electives (9)
-A & P I - CC - (4)
-A & P II - CC (4)
-Chemistry - S/L (4) (Overage of 3 credits)

Free Electives: (12)
-3 credits from overage in GE electives
-10 fema's done
-Medical Term - S/L (3) (Would this go here)

I'm going for the AA because the college where I am doing my LPN-BSN will accept an AA degree from a RA school and it will satisfy the Foundational Studies requirements for the BSN program. Without this degree I would have to complete the following in addition to what I have already completed: Foreign Lang (6), Fine Art (3), Cultural (3), History (3), Upper Level Elective (3), Physical education (3).

It know its gonna cost me about $2500 to get the degree and compared with the cost of the cost of completing the classes the traditional route is about the same with $130 per credit hour, books extra. Time and ease is the most important thing right now. I want to start this program this fall and only have the 41 nursing credits left to finish.

What do you think? Is the above list of classes acceptable to TESC? Do you think it would be cheaper or easier to go thru Excelsior?
