Hi all,
Has anyone recently taken this test? Any suggestions on study sources would be great! Also, how long does it take to get results back - I read an 2007 post that said 9 weeks!!!! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Just curious, are you going to be taking any Straighterline Courses? If so, skip the DSST and go for the SL intro to Communications course. It'll be easier and faster for you, cost is $74 if you already are paying monthly membership, if not, add $99.

Shouldn't be too bad of a test with some studying and practice, see here.

The reason for the long lead time from the 2007 post was due to the old cassette recordings (mailing to DSST and then waiting for the scoring to be received to their office before they could then send out the score to the test taker. Now it is recorded right on the computer. I have heard the score can be completed within two weeks.

I just took the dsst speech yesterday and wasn't easy because the material I studied wasn't on this test. I had previously taken it a year and half ago and remembered somewhat what the questions was. On this test none of those questions was on this test it was a tottaly different. The customer service at dsst this morning told me to check back in two weeks if I hadn't got my scores. Im thinking about just taking a class at BUY just so I can be done with it. Well see if god makes a miracle giving me a passing score. If I don't then i will just take it online. Also im curious to know why the pass rates are % 100 I just don't see it. I will keep you posted once my scores come back.

My DSST Public Speaking test was very old-school (even though I took it in 2014)- for whatever reason the test center had me use a #2 pencil and bubble sheet for the MC questions and a cassette recorder for the speech hilarious
