I took my Principles of Marketing CLEP today and scored a 66. This is the first time I have ever taken a CLEP test and I thought it was hard and sort of abstract. If you know "every" definition in the REA book and practice with InstantCert you should be able to pass it.
Basic terminology is not enough - you need to know what it means, in other words, know the concepts. How does the definition apply to real life? For example, when you have a question that utilizes the Product/Opportunity Growth Matrix, it will be something like this: The XYZ company that currently sales tooth paste wants to start a new product line of soap. A new community is being built in Pheonix, Arizona and they want to market their product in Pheonix. What is the best marketing strategy for this company? Of course the answer is Diversification because you have a new product and a new market. If you know the definitions for the Product/Opportunity Growth Matrix then you can figure that answer out.
I had about 4 math problems and there was "no" calculator.
I thought I had failed the exam and when I saw the 66 I jumped for joy!
