I am currently off high school age and have recently learned of the Clep program. It is no secret that Tomas Edison University sounds a lot better than and Charter Oak College. However Tomas Edison requires you to be 21 and have a dipploma of Ged this would not be a problem if it were not for the age thing because I could just go get my ged.Unfortunately I can't change my age.Any way around this?or am I stuck with Charter Oak ?

I can't tell if you need to be 21 OR a high school graduate. It lists 2 different things, but doesn't say you have to be BOTH, maybe it's just one or another.
You can also plan your degree and get started on taking CLEP/DSST exams and whatever else you decide to do, long before you apply. You could get 117 credits and then apply if you wanted to, I'm assuming that you probably wouldn't do all of that before you graduated from HS. It would be easy for them to admit someone who had already gotten all of the credits they needed except for the Capstone course there.

deciding on which school to get your degree from based on the way the school's name sounds is a really bad decision
there are so much better reasons
cost
availability of major
ease of graduating
ease of credit transfer
courses required
name is the last thing you should worry about
if the way the name sounded was important then Excelsior would have zero students

As a Charter Oak Alum I think I'm offended. Will I still be able to get work? Have I wasted my time with a degree from a bad school?

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
