As to be expected, TESC raised its tuition and fees.

Don't I wish. I have a feeling unless the government steps in saying that the national college student debt is too outrageous, the colleges will continue to increase their fees regularly. Inflation is a given, but at the rate the colleges increase, this seems like a lot more than annual inflation.

The federal government can force colleges to reduce their rates by lowering the loan caps. The colleges raise their rates as high as they do because they know the students will get the money somehow.

What was the former resident rate for the per credit tuition plan?

I feel like every time I dig myself out of a hole (eg. paying off my car, getting my promotion next month) something/someone finds a way to sap what little cash I end up with. And this is with me receiving tuition assistance!

College enrollment is down for the 2nd straight year so that means most people are questioning whether or not its worth it. I don't see how the colleges are helping themselves in the long run.

I think that has more to do with the very slowly recovering job market. People are deciding if they want to flip burgers with student loan debt or without student loan debt.

I thought the slow job market was a factor forcing people into school, not the other way around. I lot of people are returning to school or delaying entry into the work place for the first time hoping to wait out the poor market while getting their degree.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.
