Anyone looking at using Instacert to prepare for the Art of the Western World DSST should waste there time. The test only had five questions from this preparation site and had many paintings to identify. Instacert did not provide this type of preparation.

Just failed it myself. I got a 388 needed a 400. I felt really comfortable after using instacert, but I would guess only around 40% of the exam was covered on the flashcards.

For a few years, people reported that the best preparation is this book http://www.amazon.com/Timed-Exam-CD-Soft...0738610755. I saw a recent post saying that was no longer the case. I took an actual course from an instructor who spent a lot of time showing and explaining the art. I learned quite a bit. I'm at a loss on recommendations on how to cram for a test over this material.

Rumor has it this test has just been re-written. All previous prep info is not correct. People seem to be failing left and right-even when feeling completely prepared. I believe Astronomy DSST has recently been re-written also.
Looks like we need people to report back on this new test so we can establish new study materials.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get info on this test? I am slated to take it Sept. 24th & I am very nervous about it. I was supposed to take it August 18th, but it was pulled for several days; possibly due to the rewrite? Crazy that they make a test so hard you can't pass! I am willing to put the time in to study & can give myself a few hours a day for the next several weeks, but need to know what I need to know!!! There is just too much info to process if you think you must know everything!!!
