I fat fingered my birthdate and it came out 7 instead of 27 on my application. Now they say I have to send in a notarized copy of my drivers license. Considering that I didn't have to provide proof of my birthday from the start I don't see why I have to prove its wrong. I hope everything isn't like this.

When I registered at Harvard Extension, I accidentally wrote "Derosa" instead of "DeRosa." It's kinda a pet peeve of mine, and I'm always reminding my kids to capitalize the R! Anyway, so when I noticed, I sent a message through my Harvard email. I get a nice little reply telling me it's impossible without a notarized change form. I said I wasn't changing anything, just that there was a lower case letter where there should be a capital. They emailed me back again telling me that WAS a change, and to fill out this form.... blah blah..... my transcript has a lower case r. Big whoop. (If I ever decided to earn a degree, I'd change to my full legal last name anyway....) So, I'm guessing there must be something legal in the process of changing since that seems to be the standard reply.
So, I guess the question is, does it matter? I don't know- what's the point of the birthday anyway? ID?

They said they can't put a CLEP on my transcript because it doesn't match. Funny thing is that the rest are on there just fine. Consistency anyone?

What do you mean a CLEP doesn't match? Doesn't match what?
Doesn't fit into your degree program? Are you currently enrolled?

The birthdate on my clep doesn't match my birthday on file. The clep is correct, my profile is incorrect. I don't know why they just don't go off of the SSN. I digress. They accepted all of the other clep tests with the wrong birth date just fine.

okay, I see. This is going to be a pain, go to your bank today, they'll probably notarize for you for free. It should only take 5 minutes.
