Like I said in the title, are Bus. 140, 200, and 220 required for the BLS management degree?

Here are the minor requirements for the BLS with Management minor:

The courses you have listed are for the BABA with Management & Leadership concentration.

Ok, so you don’t take any of those for the BLS management. Got it! Thank you!

You just need to make sure the courses in the minor you want get completed or transferred in, then complete at least 10 courses at UMPI for residency requirements. I would make sure to do 8 (24 credits) that are Upper Level at UMPI as well, so you can get another minor if you wanted.

You don't have to complete all 24 UL credits at UMPI. You just need to complete the majority of them at UMPI so 15 UL credits.

Hey ss20ts, I saw you did the BLS-MIS. Obviously everyone is different. Having said that, do you think that degree is doable in one session?

It depends. I didn't complete my degree in 1 session. Back then every class was not offered every session. 10 classes is a lot to complete in 7.5 weeks. You do have to complete several ULs at UMPI and those take longer. There are people who have completed 10 classes in 1 session and most of them say it was very difficult. You basically have no time for anything else in life. You're also at the mercy of classes opening quickly which can be tricky at times.

Sorry I'm asking all these questions, but I appreciate your answers. Honest question, do you think a BLS is a marketable degree with employers?

No worries! The degree checks off the box for employment applications and when a bachelor's degree is a requirement for a job. Experience is going to mean more than the degree.

This is going to be a big "it depends."  Does the job you want require a business degree? If so, then this degree probably will not work - this is a liberal studies degree.  Does the job you want require "A" degree - as in, any degree?  Then this degree will work.

"Marketable" is probably not the word you're looking for though. That would probably require a more specific degree, or a more well-known school.  For instance, and MBA is more "marketable" than a BLS.  A degree from Harvard is more "marketable" than a degree from UMPI.  But will this degree check the box if an employer wants someone with a bachelor's degree?  Most likely it will.
