I'm going to TESC and I was wondering if SL is like ALEKS where once I get 70% I can call it quits or do I have to finish it out.
Thanks

Nope. You have to finish every assignment to complete the course. But if you have a 70% or better before the final exam you can choose to "hand in the exam" without answering a question. You will get a 0 on the final but as long as you have at least 70% going in it doesn't matter.

What classes are you finding this process of already completing 70% of the class with and then not needing the final to pass the class?

If you look at the SL site, it lists how many exams are required for each course. It's listed under grading criteria.

If you are referring to the practice quizzes, I think it depends on the individual and their level of confidence with the course. For me, I never opened any of the PRACTICE assignments. I worked on the graded, midterms, and final exams only. I think the practice quizzes are a waste of time.
