Long shot, I know. I did complete a âForumâ (basically a one-credit, pass/fail, first-semester cornerstone) at a RA B&M school and am wondering if anyone ever got one of the Big 3 to take an outside cornerstone. Specifically looking at TESU but since their cornerstone requirement is brand new, seeing if any other school accepted an external cornerstone.

Most of the time cornerstone & capstone courses can't be transferred and must be completed at the attending institution. I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet that since Tesu is changing the policy on being able to transfer Strategic Management, the same will apply to the new cornerstone.

Since the cornerstone is new as of 5/25, no one here has any experience with it.
But as futuremrsmlb stated, a transfer is unlikely.

Just like previously stated most likely not. I tried to have a capstone from another institution transferred in and TESC would not except it. The cornerstone is unknown, but it does not hurt to try.

Cornerstone already kicked in on 5/25:
http://www.tesu.edu/tuition/Per-Credit.cfm
Quote:One-Credit Cornerstone Course: As of May 25, 2016, new students are required to complete a one-credit online course designed to assess their readiness in areas relevant to student success. One-time tuition for the course is $300 (not included in the Per Credit Tuition Plan).

May 24 is the last day of June registration. May 25 is the first day of July registration. If you can get into an easy TECEP for June term (starts June 6) by calling in, you might escape the cornerstone. I believe they are waiving late fees for June term only. All of this is speculation and not guaranteed. The other effect of doing this is to keep you in the 2015-2016 catalog.

So i might be able to skip the cornerstone if I apply now and take a tecep before july 1?

It'd certain be cheaper to try to do the TECEP if they let yoy dodge it that way, but the capstone looks way easier than any TECEP you'd take

Some of the TECEPs are easily passable within one hour without studying. Of course it depends on your previous background. There are many existing discussions here about potential "easy" TECEPs.
