Ok, so i started in February on this mission of pursueing my bachelors in business from EC. Since then i have successfully completed 3 exams. Heres To Your Health, Info Systems, Sociology. I transferred in 6 credits from prior college work. In February, i thought by this date ill have completed 5 times the exams of which ive actually completed. Work, relationships, responsibilities, travelling etc have curtailed my exam taking process. Needless to say its March, almost April and im feeling a little bummed. I am now ready to go on a mission to see how fast i can actually complete a degree this date, with 15 units.
My reason for posting is to see if anyone wants to challenge me in reaching the 120 unit mark? Someone in much the same credit standing, or even a scholar with a little bit more than ( i like a challenge).
Im even willing to place a wager, for the winner. This could also be for multiple scholars. We could create a little competition to help us shoot for the stars and banish procrastination!
Open to anyone, and also fun/neat wager suggestions welcomed!
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!hilarious

Wouldn't this place IC in an awkward position - promoting unlawful gambling?
I think the best overall contest is to challenge oneself for college credit and seek the support of all of our members and not their $$$.

To me, gambling implies a game of chance--this sounds like a contest involving a lot of sweat and hard work. If anyone's up for it, sounds like a neat idea to me!
Only thing I can think of is, if money's involved, it could make it tough to rely on just the honor system for people reporting their test results and progress...

I would love to take your challenge - but I don't think I'm in a fair enough comparable position being that I am about 2/3rds of the way there...I would be interested in facing off with someone closer to myself though...BRING IT!!!

I do not think it puts anyone, including I.C in an awkward position. It is not gambling. Again, i myself can not think of a fair wager and a way for fair sportsmanship. It didnt have to include actual legal tender. My post is to prompt suggestions on a topic not yet discussed or explored.
Keep the suggestions coming everyone - we may get there!

Personally, I have finished all the CLEP and DSST exams I need but I could jump back on the wagon and take some more. I don't see why not? Maybe we could play for the title "CLEP/DSST Master". LOL.

I'll pick up that gauntlet. If you have 6 transferred credits you are about 6 credits ahead of me, but I'm not scared.
The prize? I agree. No cash. I have very little of that. And though I would relish taking yours it's just not fair. I suggest mere bragging rights. Perhaps the webmaster will throw in a 3 day sticky, weekend edition of course, with our triumphant "I am finished" post? We could call this "The Great 2008 Race for the Sticky of 2008 or maybe early 2009 Race" (is that two too many races?).
As for being concerned regarding possible cheating, have you taken an Ethics test yet? Until you do, if you are ahead at any time during the contest I will simply assume you are cheating constantly.
Forgive the misspellings and poor grammer. I haven't taken that test yet.
