I'm 55 so maybe I'll make 110 years old, so maybe I'm about half way?

Find a semi-retirement job. To be honest, your posts for the last couple of years have been concerning. My training is restricted to substance use disorders, and people can't be diagnosed over message boards, but you sound depressed. Maybe you should talk to someone.

Do you already have enough for retirement?
Do you have grandchildren? Don't you have hobbies you've been wanting more time for? Do you want to see the world or visit other areas?

I do genealogy for people, but I'm having a hard time getting people to pay me for it. I will retire on 1 Sep 2017 after 34+ years working on aircraft. I am taking several writing courses this fall because I might want to be a writer when I grow up.

I think serving others is a good plan after retirement. Find a charity that you care about and put your efforts into that.
