I woukd think that they is a certain amont of field test questions and those will be subtracted and probably bring the actual counting questions down to 100 and one point for each question. I am taking this test Monday after being rather seriously ill for a week and hope to get back in study " mode " asap. Do you have words of wisdom on concentration areas ..timelines..or such. I am sure your optomism will translate to great results!! Take care...

Know your major battles and significant generals well. I was expecting quite a bit more on the reconstruction side but only recall a handfull of questions in that area. GOOD LUCK!!

Once again Iam only using instantcert...is this enough to pass. I have not seen much on generals and war time battles.

Hmmmmm - I guess that would depend on the individual and their own unique level of absorption of the material. Speaking for myself, I have always used supplemental material (books, videos) to add to the overall learning experience and boosting my chances of passing. No doubt about it, InstantCert is a true asset when it comes to the theory and practice of word recognition and has helped me pass each and every time. GOOD LUCK!!

I just got my score. 68! First DANTES test down. I saw a few posts about studying. I strongly recommend the
Book I listed in the previous post. 18 credits in 4 months, not bad.

Congrats on passing and congrats on your progress! I got the book you recommended on CD, I've been listening to it. It's been fun to listen to and very informative. I take my test Friday... hope I do as well. :p

Hi All,
I just found some free online videos about the Civil War (lead up to the war, the war itself, and reconstruction).
The videos are on the learner.org site under a series called "A Biography of America". You'll find the applicable episodes about half way down the page (episodes 8-12).
http://www.learner.org/resources/series123.html
Hope some of you will find these useful,
Snazzlefrag
My name is Rob
