Any way to have TESC expedite transcript reviews???
#1
Hello all,

I recently began taking "alternative" credit options such as DSSTs and FEMA course for credit at TESC. I will be complete all of my educational requirements within the next month by taking two TECEPS tests, and three additional DSSTs. In the past two weeks, I also just completed 12 FEMA credits, ALEKS for Intro to Stats, and a DSST this past Thursday.

I am concerned about trying to graduate as soon as possible from TESC (I know that I won't make the March graduation, but want to ensure that I make the June graduation.) I'm hearing mixed reviews on the fact that it can take TESC an awful long time to review transcripts - even though I may have them express mailed to them. If anyone has any specific tips, thoughts, suggestions, or ideas about how to get TESC to move this process ahead I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

It took TESC a full six weeks to review my very simple transcripts. All 90 credits from the same 4 year University with very normal courses taken. I am rushing to make the June 1 graduation and was very clearly told that they are firm with the "have everything to us signed, sealed and delivered and graded and recorded with a bow on it " (my own terminology) on their desk by April 1. 2 months in advance seems a bit excessive but they had a prepared explaination about they only meet x times a year to review or confer or something. Anyway, no budging the dates, no way - no how. I do not need to remind you how very fast April 1 will come up so plan accordingly. I did ask in an email "if I have xxx to you by xxx date will it all be recorded etc by April 1" and I was told that "it would seem so but we can not guarantee it".
Press On and keep your eye on the calendar.

I just dealt with this with my credit banking service I haad to use at TESC. It took daily phone calls and finally I was connected with someone who was able to help. After I talked to the right person and made enough noise they ended up overnighting my transcript to the licensing agency that needed it. As for the Clep and DSST transcripts I sent them, I had them sent twice they kept telling me they did not have them. After I confronted them with the dates they were sent they suddenly appeared.
